LocksTime Privacy Policy
Overview
LocksTime is provided by Markel Strategic Holdings LLC ("MSH," "we," "us," or "our"). This policy explains how LocksTime handles information when you use the mobile app, related web experience, and supporting services.
Information you provide
Depending on how you use LocksTime, we may process account information such as your name and email address; projects, clients, jobsites and job numbers; shift times, breaks and notes; pay-rule settings; per diem and mileage records; expense details; uploaded receipts and work documents; invoice templates and mappings; and information submitted to a company you choose to connect with.
Location, camera, and photos
LocksTime requests location access only when you choose to start a GPS mileage trip. It does not need continuous location tracking for normal timekeeping. Camera or photo-library access is used only when you choose to capture or select receipt evidence. You can also enter mileage and expenses manually.
How information is used
We use information to authenticate your account, keep your records available across supported experiences, calculate user-configured time and reimbursement totals, create exports and pay packages, fill supported company paperwork, support company-connected submissions you initiate, prevent abuse, troubleshoot service issues, and comply with legal obligations.
Service providers and connected companies
LocksTime uses service providers for functions such as cloud hosting, authentication, storage, security, and application delivery. Those providers may process information only as needed to provide their services. If you voluntarily connect your LocksTime account to a participating company, work records and submissions you send to that company may be visible to authorized company users according to the connected workflow.
AI and document processing
LocksTime may analyze invoice and receipt documents to suggest fields, mappings, or structured values. The production privacy disclosures in the App Store are updated to reflect any third-party model or document-processing provider that is enabled in a released build. LocksTime does not sell personal information for advertising.
Tracking and advertising
LocksTime does not use your data for cross-app advertising tracking and does not sell personal information to advertisers.
Security and retention
We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards appropriate to the service. No online service can guarantee absolute security. Records are retained as reasonably necessary to provide LocksTime, meet legal or accounting requirements, resolve disputes, and protect the service.
Your choices and deletion
You can review and correct work records in the app. You can request account deletion from Settings inside LocksTime or use the public account-deletion page. Account deletion removes account-associated data that is not required to be retained for legal, security, fraud-prevention, or completed company-payment obligations.
